BPM Offshore have a Joint Venture with TMT Australia, allowing BPM Offshore to use TMT ROVs. Two of the ROVs available to BPM Offshore are the Navigator and the Seaeye Tiger.

Navigator

The TMT Navigator ROV is a high end observation electric / hydraulic compact system.Navigator

Designed and built for rapid deployment situations on vessels of opportunity. The low overall footprint and deck load increases the vessel of deployment versatility without compromising functionality.

The system offers a comprehensive manipulator package from a small operating platform, including the ability to operate a Schilling T4 and 5/7 rate manipulator. The Schilling Orion manipulator is an option.

In addition, a TMT 2 Function Grabber is included which will accommodate a greater than standard guide-post diameter attachment.
The main propulsion system incorporates four vectored and one vertical electric thrusters. The use of electric thruster reduces maintenance and improves overall reliability.

The Navigator has a large number of hydraulic tooling options due to the versatility of the 8 function Smart Valve Pack and 28L/min @ 200bar Auxiliary Hydraulic Pack and a 400kg payload capability.

The system has been field proven since 2002 and has evolved to include a TMS options and greater depth capability.

The system has been deployed many times from jobs up rigs for subsea tree installation and work over programs.

Seaeye Tiger

The Seaeye Tiger is widely regarded as the leading observation and inspection vehicle within the oil and gas industry. Increasingly, they are also being taken up as Seaeye Tigerthe ROV of choice by military and scientific customers seeking increased capability in deep water.With depth rating of 1000msw, the Tiger is a very stable platform and is able to perform well in strong currents and under the harshest conditions,providing excellent handling and manoeuvrability. Its open frame construction and generous payload offer the possibility of adding a wide range of tools and sensors as well as interchangeable tool skids.

Electronic Architecture

All vehicle electronics are enclosed in a watertight and anodised electronics pod machined from 6082 marine grade aluminium and fitted with a leak alarm.

Propulsion

The Seaeye Tiger has one vertical and fourhorizontal vectored brushless SM4 250 Volt DC thrusters. These thrusters provide superior control and response and give the Seaeye Tiger excellent stable handling characteristics.

Equipment Interface

The Seaeye Tiger also benefits from the following options:

  • TMS type 2 or type 8, or free-swimming operation
  • Up to three video cameras (two live)•Sonar systems, altimeter
  • Scientific measurement systems (bathy, CTD, etc.)
  • CP probe (contact or proximity)•
  • Tracking systems
  • Ultrasonic thickness gauge
  • Tooling skids: 4-function manipulator, cutting tool, cleaning brush. Can be provided
